ECAA Visa (Ankara Agreement) — Extensions & Settlement

Initial ECAA applications are now closed. Existing ECAA visa holders may still apply for extensions and settlement under stricter Home Office guidance (November 2025 update), with increased emphasis on Part Suitability and overall immigration conduct.

Who Can Apply?

  • Applicants with no suitability breaches

  • Ongoing genuine self-employment or business operation
  • Evidence of business activity and income
  • Full personal and business tax compliance
  • No recourse to public funds
  • Clear satisfaction of Part Suitability

  • Poor immigration history (even historic) can affect outcomes

Visa Length & Settlement

  • Extensions available subject to compliance
  • Settlement (ILR) possible after 5 years under current rules
  • Future settlement subject to earned settlement reforms

  • ECAA ILR application: £3,029 per applicant
