Global Business Mobility (GBM)

GBM routes allow overseas businesses to temporarily assign employees to the UK for specific business purposes. They are designed for mobility, not settlement. Sub-routes include UK Expansion Worker, Senior or Specialist Worker, Graduate Trainee, and Secondment Worker.

Who Can Apply?

  • Overseas companies with an active trading presence outside the UK
  • Businesses transferring existing employees to the UK temporarily
  • Genuine employees of the overseas business meeting minimum employment periods
  • Organisations holding a UK sponsor licence under the relevant GBM category

Home Office Fees

  • Visa application: £319 – £1,519 (depending on sub-route and duration)
  • Certificate of Sponsorship: £55
  • Immigration Health Surcharge: £1,035 per year
