Innovator Founder Visa

For experienced entrepreneurs who wish to establish and run an innovative business in the UK. Applicants must present a viable, scalable, and innovative business idea endorsed by an approved endorsing body. There is no minimum investment amount, but applicants must demonstrate sufficient funds to grow the business.

Who Can Apply?

  • Entrepreneurs with an original and innovative business idea
  • Individuals endorsed by a Home Office-approved endorsing body
  • Applicants actively involved in the day-to-day running of the business

Key Requirements

  • Endorsement from an approved endorsing body
  • Genuine intention to operate the business in the UK
  • Sufficient maintenance funds
  • English language requirement

Visa Length & Settlement

  • Initial visa: up to 3 years
  • Extension available
  • Settlement possible after 3 years under current rules
  • Future settlement may be subject to the earned settlement framework (2025 White Paper)

Home Office Fees

  • Visa application: £1,274
  • Endorsement fee: set by endorsing body (approx. £1,000)
  • Immigration Health Surcharge: £1,035 per year
